I first met Dr Akshikar in 2014 at the Brighton Eye Hospital. Her care was outstanding And professional and far superior to any of the other ophthalmologists.
When Dr Akshikar moved to Moorfields Eye Hospital, I requested my GP to refer me to Moorfields, so I could remain under her care, which I did until Moorfields moved towards nurse based care instead.
This year there were 2 incidents with my cornea while under Moorfields Eye Hospital and after managing to contact Dr. Akshikar and her agreeing to see me, I again asked my GP to transfer me to Dr Akshikar, at the Western Eye Hospital.
Dr Akshikar has always given me fantastic treatment, different to that at Moorfields, for which I am most grateful. She is the most caring doctor that goes above and beyond her professional duties.

My 12-year-old son was referred to Dr Rashmi Akshikar after attending an appointment with an Ophthalmologist at the Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow and A&E at the Western Eye Hospital.
